These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and use of transportation services provided by Cairo Airport Travel ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By making a booking or using our services, you ("Client," "you," "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. Please pay special attention to the sections on Refund Policy, Cancellation, and No-Show as they contain important limitations on your rights to a refund.
1. Bookings and Client Responsibilities
1.1. Accuracy of Information: You are solely responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a booking, including but not limited to: date, time, flight number (if applicable), pick-up and drop-off addresses, number of passengers, and luggage requirements. We are not liable for delays, missed services, or non-refundable charges resulting from incorrect information provided by you.
1.2. Suitability of Vehicle: You are responsible for booking a vehicle with sufficient capacity for your party and luggage. Our vehicle capacities are clearly stated:
- Toyota Corolla: Maximum 3 passengers and 3 pieces of luggage.
- Toyota Hi-ace: Maximum 9 passengers and 9 pieces of luggage.
- V.W. Caddy: Maximum 4 passengers and 4 pieces of luggage.
- Hyundai H1: Maximum 7 passengers and 7 pieces of luggage.
1.3. Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation from us via email or through our call center. For online bookings, the completion of payment constitutes an offer from you, which we accept by sending a confirmation.
1.4. Booking Channels: Bookings can be made via our 24/7 call center (+202 19970), our official Facebook page, online booking system on our website, or email. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes.
2. Changes to Travel Plans
2.1. Flight Changes or Delays: You must inform us immediately of any changes to your flight plans, including cancellations, significant delays, or diversions. While we monitor flight statuses for airport pickups based on information from Cairo International Airport authorities, the free waiting period is calculated from the actual flight landing time.
2.2. Other Pick-up Changes: For non-airport pickups, any changes to the pick-up time or location must be communicated to us at least 72 hours in advance. We will endeavor to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.
3. Safety, Conduct, and Refusal of Service
3.1. Orderly Conduct: You and all members of your party must behave in an orderly manner. Smoking, consuming alcohol, or being under the influence of intoxicating substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
3.2. Right to Refuse Service: The driver has the absolute right to refuse or terminate service without a refund if, in the driver’s sole and reasonable opinion:
- You or any passenger poses a risk to the safety of themselves, the driver, other passengers, or the vehicle.
- You or any passenger is disorderly, abusive, or threatening.
- You or any passenger is visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
- There is a risk of damage to the vehicle from passengers, luggage, or pets.
- The number of passengers or luggage exceeds the booked vehicle’s stated capacity.
In any such case, the full fare is payable, and no refund will be provided.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1. Quoted Prices: All prices quoted are per vehicle, per way, unless otherwise specified.
4.2. Payment Methods:
- For "same day" airport transfers, payment can be made to our company representative at the time of service.
- For "same day" non-airport transfers, payment can be made directly to the driver at the time of service (cash only, unless otherwise agreed).
- For online reservations, your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.
4.3. Flight Delays: There are no additional charges for flight delays monitored by us. However, the waiting time policy (Section 5) applies from the moment of landing.
4.4. Additional Charges:
- Waiting Time: Charges apply after the free waiting period as detailed in Section 5.
- Diversions: Any unscheduled stop or diversion from the agreed route may incur an additional charge (changeable).
5. Waiting Time Policy
5.1. Airport Pickups: We provide a free waiting time of 45 minutes from the actual flight landing time. After this period, waiting time charges will apply as per our current rate (EGP 400 per hour, subject to change).
5.2. All Other Pickups: We provide a free waiting time of 10 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time. After this period, waiting time charges will apply as per our current rate.
5.3. No-Show: If you are not present at the pick-up location after the expiry of the free waiting time plus any additional paid waiting time, the booking will be treated as a "No-Show" (see Section 7).
6. Refund Policy
We strive to provide excellent service. Refunds are processed according to this policy, and your acceptance of these Terms constitutes your agreement to it.
6.1. When a Refund MAY Be Provided:
- Service Failure by Us: If our vehicle does not arrive for your scheduled pick-up, or if the service is not provided as stated in the confirmation, and this failure is solely due to our error.
- Cancellation by You within the Free Period: If you cancel your booking in writing at least 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
- Note: For credit card payments, any bank or transaction fees charged to us may be deducted from the refund amount.
6.2. When a Refund WILL NOT Be Provided (Non-Refundable Circumstances):
You expressly agree that no refund will be issued in the following situations, and you waive any right to a chargeback for these reasons:
- No-Show: Failure to meet the driver at the designated pick-up point and time, including after any applicable free or paid waiting period (as defined in Section 5).
- Client-Provided Incorrect Information: If the service cannot be completed because you provided an incorrect date, flight number, address, or other essential details.
- Missed Flight or Connection: If you miss your flight or have a flight delay that you did not communicate to us, and we are unable to accommodate the new time.
- Client Left Pick-up Point: If you leave the designated pick-up point without first informing our driver or call center.
- Unsuitability in the Company’s Judgment: Any claim that the vehicle was "unsuitable" will be assessed by the Company. If the vehicle provided matches the category and capacity booked and meets basic standards of cleanliness and safety, the service is deemed rendered and fully earned. No refund will be provided for subjective opinions on suitability. The Company’s determination on this matter is final.
- Refusal of Service Due to Client Conduct: If service is refused or terminated by the driver for reasons outlined in Section 3.
- Traffic or Route Decisions: Dissatisfaction with the route taken by the driver due to traffic, road conditions, or their professional judgment. Our drivers are authorized to choose the most efficient route based on real-time conditions.
6.3. How to Claim a Refund (for Eligible Cases Only):
- All refund claims must be submitted in writing to airport@cairoshuttlebus.com within 7 days of the scheduled service date.
- We will investigate your claim, which may take up to 30 working days. We may contact you for additional information; failure to respond promptly may delay or invalidate your claim.
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take several additional business days to appear, depending on your financial institution.
7. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
7.1. Cancellation by You:
- Free Cancellation: You may cancel your booking with a full refund by providing written notice to airport@cairoshuttlebus.com at least 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
- Late Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the pick-up time will be treated as a "No-Show" and are non-refundable.
7.2. No-Show: A "No-Show" occurs when you fail to appear at the correct pick-up location within the allowed waiting time (Section 5) without having cancelled the booking. In the event of a No-Show, your booking will be charged the full fare, and no refund will be provided under any circumstances.
8. Lost Property
8.1. Client Responsibility: You are fully responsible for all your personal belongings throughout the journey. Please check the vehicle thoroughly before leaving.
8.2. Company’s Role: While we will make a reasonable effort to return items left behind, we assume no liability whatsoever for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced items.
8.3. Return Costs: Any costs incurred in returning a found item to its owner (e.g., shipping, courier fees) must be paid by the owner in advance.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. Force Majeure: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cairo Airport Travel shall not be liable for any delay, failure to perform, or disruption of service caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: acts of God, severe weather, road traffic accidents, unexpected road closures or diversions, security alerts, industrial action, governmental restrictions, or problems caused by other passengers.
9.2. Consequential Loss: Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the total fare paid for the specific booking in question. We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, or missed flights/connections.
10. Gratuities
Tipping is not included in our rates and is at your discretion. Tips for safe and courteous service are always appreciated by our drivers.
11. General Provisions
11.1. Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Cairo Airport Travel regarding the booking and provision of services and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
11.2. Amendments: We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The latest version will be posted on our website and will apply to all bookings.
11.3. Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11.4. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
By checking the "I Agree" box and completing your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of the above Terms and Conditions, including the binding arbitration and limitations on refunds.
